Packing bag of thermoplastic film, e.g. polyethylene, has a body with folded edges glued or heat sealed edged and a weakened line enabling the bag to be torn open. The bag is double-walled so that the bag body having the weakened line is entirely covered with flat film layers. Gives a packaging bag having a satisfactory strength and seal at the weakened line, as a result of the cover layers.
