The model aircraft is made from solid foam plastic with a space (5) in the front of the fuselage for the receiver and batteries and a core of lighter plastic foam (6) stretching in the fuselage between the wing roots and the tail. The wings are held in place by spring clips which are foamed in position in the fuselage whilst the tailplane is screwed in place into nuts foamed into the fuselage. The plastic foil elevator hinges and rudder hinges are foamed into position whilst their operating wires which are foamed into the fuselage are pre-greased to ensure that they do not stick. If a motor is required a nacelle (A) can be bolted on to the fuselage onto foamed in nuts.
