Treating textile webs - feeding to top of endless conveyors passing through liquid allowed to pass through web under gravity

Textile webs are treated by feeding the webs from above onto endless conveyors which are passed through a treatment bath maintained above a perforate base plate to allow treatment liquid to pass through web under gravity. Method is for steaming, relaxing, shrinking, washing or fixing textile webs or fibre tows. Treatment takes place without undue tension and without fold formation.
