Coal based, synthetic liq fuels contg nitrogen or oxygen - for use as heating or motor fuels

Org. cpds., in which each C atom is attached to at least one adjacent C atom through at least one N and/or O atom, are used as liq. fuels, esp. motor fuels. Specifically claimed are N, N', N"-tris(dimethylamino methylene) cyclomethylene-triamine, tris (dimethylamino methylene)ammonia and tetramethyl ammonium dimethylamine. They are used in carburettor or injection engines or in diesel engines, as jet fuels, esp. for aircraft, and as heating fuels, are readily obtd. from coal-based materials by simple and cheap processes, independent of crude oil. They have a high combustion enthalpy comparable to petrol and diesel oil, and are completely burnt to harmless exhaust gases in combustion engines.
