Pipe grinder for external rough grinding - has conical support rollers, end rollers and overhead grinding wheel

A pipe grinding installation for rough grinding the outside of a length of pipe has pairs of conical support rollers (2), with their spindles at right angles to the centreline of the pipe being ground. The pipe is clamped between rollers (4, 5) which are slightly conical and which lie against the ends of the pipe, and which rotate, the pipe being ground. A grinding wheel (7) mounted above the pipe to be ground, with its axis parallel to the support rollers (2) is pushed against the pipe by an actuator. The support rollers (2) can be raised and lowered.
