The bladed knife shaft is for use in a wood chipping or disintegrating machine. A knife holder is covered with comb type knives. A large number of knives have angled cutting edges. such that there are two cutting edges at 180 deg.C to each other or four cutting edges set at 90 deg.C to one another forming the comb type knives, and are attached to the knife holder shaft. Each of the cutters may be attached individually to the support shaft and individually adjusted by set screws.
