Die cast steps for escalators - shafts are cast into step bodies in sections under tension

Die cast steps for escalators where the aluminium die cast bodies are provided with one or more cast-in shafts passing through from one side to the other. These shafts are moulded in the region of those sections of the steps which are in tension. Specifically the die cast bodies of the steps can be of aluminium or some other material such as plastic. Consequently these shafts or reinforcing bars, which are specifically of steel take over the stress loading in the step and at the same time act as shafts for the rollers.
