Bending and tensioning of concrete prestress components - uses belt stressing member in tubular socket over pulley-type arches

The process, used in work with steel-reinforced concrete, is for the prestressing of site-concrete or prefabricated structural components, for exerting pressure on the cross-sectional areas subjected to tension. The stress member runs like a belt, from prestressing anchorage to terminal anchorage, in tubular sleeve sockets for subsequent pressing out. It is then deflected over the back of an arch, like a band pulley, and runs back again, to meet the end of the stress member in a band pulley configuration, and here the closed linkage for pre-stressing anchorage is produced. The prestressing process is reliable, simple and economical.
