Adhesive bonded expansion joint for roads - has adhesive bonded seat for cover plate of high wear resistance

The road surface gap section is for forming expansion joints in bridges and roads. On each side of the gap is fitted a solid insert able to absorb rolling loads, and it can be loaded in tension and compression. The ends of the road panels on both sides of the gap have each a flat seat which is wider than the seat for the gap covering insert. The seat in the panel is filled with resin based mortar. The gap covering insert is adhesive bonded by its rigid fastening components on the resin mortar. An anchor plate is adhesive bonded on the plastics based mortar and connected to rolled profiles for stiff fastening.
