Synchronism fluctuation analyzer - recording carrier rate fluctuations caused by mechanical driving system of signal play-back unit

The rate fluctuations of the recording carrier are analyzed by means of a signal with nominal constant reference frequency played back by the unit to be tested. The analyzer comprises a frequency detector which receives the play back signal and produces a signal which expresses the deviation of the frequency of this playback signal from the reference frequency, a real-time parallel analyzer and display and means for feeding the signal representing the deviation from the reference frequency to the real-time parallel analyzer. The real-time parallel analyzer contains a number of parallel signal paths.
