Pharmaceutical dosage units contain as active component an optically active or racemic form of the 16-methyl-, 16-ethyl-, 16,16-dimethyl-, 16,16-diethyl-, 16-ethyl-16-methyl-derivs. of PGE, PGE2, PGA, and PGA2, or their salts or their esters with carboxylic acids (1-8C alkyl) formulated to have an anti-secretory or antiulcer activity, the unit dose being adjusted to give a dosage rate of 0.7-5.7 mu g/Kg.
