Pipe welding - partic the alignment, fixing, and welding of pipe lengths to flanges or rings

Flanges and rings are welded onto the ends of lengths of pipe, after alignment and fixing, by using a chucking and centering appliance. The free ends are firstly fixed to the casing surface, and the loose flanges or rings are pushed horizontally against the front face of the pipe lengths by centering members. Finally, they are tack-welded to the free pipe ends and completely welded with the centering mandrel withdrawn while rotating the pipe lengths about the roller support.
