The ore in slurried and foamed and flotated in the presence of a deflocculant in alkaline soln. a source of polyvalent cations to depress in calcium bearing minerals other than scheelite, and a fatty acid to collect the scheelite. The slurry is agitated vigorously for at least 5 mins. prior to flotation.
