Dry ice spray-expanded from liquid carbon dioxide - with liquid supply line assembly which avoids blockage of nozzle inlet line

A rotary spherical ball valve is inserted in the line supplying liquefied CO2 to a divergent nozzle through which the liquid is expanded to form finely powdered dry ice, i.e. for coating foodstuffs etc. in order to freez them. The cross-section of the passage through the ball should be not less than the cross-section of the valve delivery line leading into the nozzle; this minimises the possibility, which has previously tended to happen, of CO2 solidifying in this delivery line.
