The equipment is for use in treating a patient suffering from chronic respiratory trouble, and is mounted on a truck pushed by the patient while walking. Means are provided to prevent the oxygen reaching his respiratory tracts unless the truck is travelling over the ground, typically in the form of a wheel driving a system only passing oxygen when it is turning, and actuating via a cam and pushrods valves alternately opening and shutting. Adjustable brakes can be provided for the truck. A jacking platform can be provided, which is lowered to ground level for loading with the oxygen cylinder and then lifted clear.
