Extrusion profile haul-off unit for twin track shoes - where individual shoes can be rapidly replaced

Haul-off unit comprising superimposed twin horizontal moving belts each fitted with a series of profiled shoes supported by integral sleeves which allow the shoes to be fitted laterally on to support dowels carried by the primary moving links of the conveyor. The sleeves are retained on the dowels by a removable plate bridging the dowel ends. Used for tractor units hauling off continuously produced plastic profiles, esp. large or irregular sections. Individual shoes on each belt can be removed and replaced very rapidly by a new shoe, either to replace a worn shoe or to progressively change the belt to similar change of job profile. Change over of a specific worn or damaged shoe can be sufficiently quick not to cause a shut down or major variation of the upstream extrusion or ancillary downstream processes.
