Silylated estradiol derivs - antifertility and estrogenic agents

Cpds. are of formula (I): (where A is C triple bond C. SiR1R2R3; C(SiR1R2R3)=CH2 or CH=CHSiR1R2R3; R = H, CH3 or 2-7C alkanoyl; R1, R2 and R3 are same or different 1-18C alkyl, cyclohexyl, methallyl, benzyl, phenyl or tolyl). (I) have estrogenic and antifertility activity; esp. they give complete protection against conception at dosage levels where they have low estrogenic effects.
