Composite lightweight building panel - has wood and plaster layers on a foamed glass insulating core

The panel which can be made in a variety of sizes, has an outer leaf of wood or reconstituted wood. Other suitable materials are metal, plastic, or plaster. This outerpanel (1) is attached to a foamed glass core (3) by means of a special glue. The central core is provided as a thermal and sound insulation medium. The inner leaf (4) is made of plaster or other similar material. In order to protect the surface of the outer leaf of wood it is varnished (5). The panel is very light and may be manually positioned without the use of expensive cranes. The insulation properties are very good.
