The cheese-shapes are laid to ripen shelves stacked in storage-units mounted on a frame on rollers. Two rows of tunnels are alongside each other; one row consists of a vertical tunnel of four vertical brush plates, and beneath its outlet end a row of a horizontal tunnel consisting of two horizontal brush plates. Pushers move the shapes forward and are fixed onto one support so that all the shapes moves together. The top and bottom belts for the horizontal and vertical conveyance of the shelves are fixed on the frame. Above the vertical tunnel is an input shaft which tilts by ninety degrees, and underneath the vertical tunnel is a guide funnel holding the shape in an upright position and then pushes it between the top and bottom brush plates of the horizontal tunnel. The shape is then left to slip down onto a catchment-basin which then deposits on an empty shelf underneath it. A C-shaped tilting tray forms the input shelf, and tilts by ninety degrees. An input pusher is spring-mounted to an input slide-piece.
