The shelf system has square-section uprights (3) with slots (4), into which tabs on the shelves (6) can be inserted. These are braced by transverse plates (7) which have square slides (81, 82) attached to either end. These slide inside the profiles, the plate sliding in grooves along the inside of each upright. Recesses in the slide allow the tabs to be inserted in the slots.
