The valve is tilted by a lever 13 connected to a knob 15. A latching mechanism, Fig. 6 is provided if the dispenser is used in a coin operated mechanism and includes a latch 22 to hold the lever 13 until released by a coin operating on a linkage which includes an overcentre linkage 19 and a spring-biased plunger 23.
