Pallet system with detachable sides - combination of pallets with and without wire mesh sides being used for optimum stacking

A pallet system for the transport of goods by road, sea or rail has detachable sides to provide maximum economy usage and stacking. The square section base plate is mounted on two skids with box section inserts located in each corner. Each side member consists of a frame with vertical box section struts and top and bottom rails. A wire mesh work completes the side unit. Both vertical struts carry projecting rods onto which are mounted square section locating pegs that slide in the corner pieces in the base. Holes in the struts allow clamping brackets to be used to hold four sides together. A combination of pallets complete with sides and pallets without sides may be stacked together to provide best possible use of available space.
