The door consists of a rectangular frame and two sheet-metal panels with a layer of insulating material inbetween. The door fits into a frame which has an upright each side of the opening, part of each upright being channel section with the opening face towards the opposite upright. The door is mounted between these two uprights, pivoting on two pulleys housed inside the channel sections. Each upright has a hollow section which houses a counter-weight. The bolts also hold brackets for supports each linked at one end to the bracket and at the other to brack mounted on the doorframe. The supports along with two pulleys determine the trajectory followed by the door.
