System extracting warm air from ceiling area - has fan and duct pass air to floor from ceiling

The equipment consists of a vertical duct which may be situated in the corner of a room. The duct may be hidden behind a corner screen which extends over the whole length of the duct. The duct is elbowed at both floor and ceiling, towards the centre of the room. There is a fan in the duct which circulates the air from the ceiling to the floor. The fan is operated by a thermostat. The method of heat recovery is economical, as the power required to drive the fan is less than the amount of heat recovered from the ceiling area.
