Gamma-L-glutamyl-taurine parathyroid gland extract - purified by gel filtration, ion-exchange, electrophoresis and chromatography

Addn. to the process of the parent patent to isolate gamma-L-glutamyl-taurine (litoralon) from a parathyroid gland extract characterised in that after extraction of the parathyroid gland or a culture of its tissues or cells, pref. in the form of a powder, with water or an aq. soln., contg. inorganic ions, elimination of proteins from the filtered extract and lyophilisation, dissolution of the prod. in water, filtration on a gel and lyophilisation of the fraction contg. the active agent (pref. chosen by spectroscopic detection) the lyophilised prod. is dissolved in water and purified by chromatography on an ion-exchange column, the concentrate of the active agent is submitted to electrophoresis and then chromatography to yield the gamma-L-glutamyl taurine.
