The supporting sheet has perpendicular side rims bent upwards, in which rests the foam insulating layer which in turn is covered by an impermeable layer of roofing felt, or a synthetic layer. Spaced along one of the lengthwise edges of the composite sheet are cavities in the insulating layer extending down to the supporting sheet. The two adjacent sheets are interlocked along the lengthwise or crosswise rims by means of cups placed over the adjacent rims and possessing U-shaped hooks placed inside the cavities. An insulating strip covered by an elastic strip is placed in the join between two composite sheets. Reinforcement slats made of wood or synthetic material or metal may be positioned along the longitudinal edges of the composite sheets.
