Fertiliser distributor for combine drill - has toothed sleeves, control lever and intermediate box with rubber seal

The distributor consists of a body (1) in which are two bearing blocks (2, 3) supporting a rotating shaft (4) driven by a pulley (5) which is itself driven by a belt. Above the body is a hopper (7) containing the fertiliser. A sleeve (19) bears two sleeves (8, 10) with interfitting teeth (9, 11). Sleeve (10) has a groove (12) in which is fitted a ring (13) attached by means of a lug to a control lever. This lever controls the rate of flow of the fertiliser. Hopper (7) comprises on its lower surface a rubber seal fitted to a bronze part in the shape of a box having circular cut-outs in its sides to accommodate the shaft. It communicates with the hopper by means of an aperture.
