Solid propellant contg uniformly dispersed thin graphite fibres - increasing combustion rate of all propellant types

A solid propellant, with a one-, 2- or 3-component, composite or modified 2-component composite compsn., contains uniformly dispersed graphite fibres with a dia. of 4-10 mu, pref. in an amt. of 0.5-10 wt% w.r.t. the wt. of the solid propellant. The fine graphite fibres can be used in all types of propellant, e.g. for ammunition, gas generators, small and large rockets and space vehicles. They increase the combustion rate, regardless of their method of mfr. or orientation.
