Piecing up in open end spinning by reducing feed and take up speeds - with respect to speed of spinning rotor

During piecing up in an open end spinning device using a spinning rotor, the ratios of two speed of the feed device feeding fibres to the spinning rotor and the speed of the take-up device withdrawing yarn from the spinning rotor w.r.t. the speed of the spinning rotor are reduced. Pref. the normal speeds of the fibre feed device and yarn take-up device are reduced by the same proportion pref. by 5-20% w.r.T. the speed of the spinning rotor. A more uniform yarn in the region where it is pieced up is produced and yarn breakages during piecing up are reduced.
