The pipe joining arrangement consists of one part in the form of a bush (10) and there is a tubular piece (16) which enters the bush. It is then fixed there by flexible fixing devices and a retaining piece. By undoing some of these devices the tubular piece can be partly released, still retaining liquid pressure in the pipe. The bush has a stepped cylindrical opening and an annular channel with a diameter greater than a similar channel. There is a third annular channel. The tubular part has a male end with parts which form a shoulder for seating purposes, in conjunction with a sealing ring (33).
