The unit consists of a reflecting surface and a source of light forming a cluster of beams with a predetermined angle of divergence. The reflecting surface is generated by a curve forming an elliptical arc (E1) whose centre (F1) coincides with the light source (S), while a second centre (F2) acts as a source of secondary emission. The length (e10-e11) of the elliptical arc defines the direct angle of emission (beta) of the light from the source (S) and that (gamma) from the secondary source (F2). The rear part (e11) of the elliptical arc extends as far as a point corresponding to the end vector ray (R11) emitted from source (S). This ray, after reflection, does not pass back through the casing (S1) of the source (S).
