Pneumatic pressure regulating valve with internal throttle sleeve - is controlled by membrane piston and adjustable compression spring

A pneumatic pressure reduction valve has a valve spindle (4) whose one end is attached to a membrane (7, 8) and a compression spring (9). The opposite spindle end carries a seal ring (12) and concentric with it a cylindrical expansion sleeve (11) which has a number of radial throttle holes (13). When the valve is closed, the expansion sleeve (11) is located inside valve bush (3). When the pressure (P2) in the outlet chamber and on one side of the membrane (8) falls below a set value, the spring load of spring (9) is overcome. The spindle then moves axially so that the medium is able to flow from the inlet (P1) through the expansion sleeve to the outlet (P2).
