Container base frame made from box beams - receives pinned handling beams in box beams and has feet welded to lower corner plates

A container base has two longerons (1a, b) made from suitably sized box beams welded onto corner support plates (3) which also carry the ends of the cross beams (2a, b). Under the corner plates are welded four support legs (4). Support cross beams (11a, b) are welded at suitable intervals along the longerons to take the weight of the container when it is being lifted. Plates (13) are fitted with shackle holes and the cross beams have handles (12). The longerons or cross beams (2a, b) receive slidable beams which are pinned in position using holes (5) in the base beams and in the slidable beams. The ends of the slidable beams have handles and these beams are used to lift the base or attach it to e.g. a chassis.
