The spectacles frames have a face (1) on the reverse of which are side extensions (2), each of which carries one or two plastic loops (3, 4). Plastic arms (5) are provided with one or more plastic loops (7) at their ends. The loops form hinges by the addition of rivets or pins (8). Metallic sleeves (9) extend from the ends of the arms and have upper and lower openings through which the respective hinge pins pass. The sleeves reinforce the hinges.
