1422044 Roller conveyers connecting endless conveyers FREDA WAGNER AB 8 Jan 1973 [11 Jan 1972] 1046/73 Heading B8A A roller transfer table between endless conveyer belts 2, 3, 4, and 5, comprises driven loadsupporting balls 40 driven by respective drive plates 24. All the plates 24 are mounted on a fixed plate 20, and are driven by belts 28, 29. The latter are either coupled as shown in Fig. 3, to drive all the balls simultaneously from a single motor 63 (Fig. 6), or there may be two motors 63 and 66 each driving two respective groups of the balls. The latter are mounted in respective apertures 38 in a plate 16. The latter is connected to four members (Fig. 6) slidable in pairs on rods 45, 56. Rods 43 and 44 connected to the rods 45, 46, are slidable in members 48, 48; and 49, 49 which themselves are rigidly connected to the fixed plate 20. The plate 16 can be moved in any desired combination of displacements in directions P5 and P6 by suitably pressurizing double acting cylinders 52, 53. The latter are secured at 58, 59, to the fixed plate 20, and their piston-rods are connected at 60 to the plate 16. By this means, each of the balls 40 may be moved relatively to the axis of its respective drive plate from the position shown in Figs. 3 and 7, to any one of the positions shown in Figs. 8, 9, and 10. In each of the latter figures, the arrow passing through the centre of the ball 40 indicates the direction of conveyance induced by the ball in the Figure under consideration.
