The field irrigation plant consists of a rear wheel drive vehicle with large wheel (3), a carrier bracket (2) with a forwards projecting boom (6) holding two steering wheels (8) consisting of circular discs. The discs enable the vehicle to be placed over a water feed hose (9). The hose is connected to a vertical shaft, which at its upper end is attached to a rotatable horizontal arm (5), the arm having at its external ends groups of spray jets (10) to distribute the water over the land area to be sprayed by the vehicle whilst at one particular location.
