The cattle feeding wagon comprises a loading chamber (10) with an outlet for direct fodder discharge, and a supply mechanism (11) with a harvester (31) which operates near the ground and with a coacting conveyor (18) for conveying harvested material into the loading chamber. The removable supply mechanism comprises a wheeled frame (16) on which the harvester and conveyor are mounted, and has a horizontal coupling shaft (13). The supply mechanism may be connected to the wagon by a hydraulic cylinder (50) by means of an arm (14) which is connected to the supply mechanism so as to be pivotable about a second horizontal shaft (16).
