1344433 Coated products THIOKOL CHEMICAL CORP 15 Feb 1972 [18 March 1971] 7023/72 Heading B2E [Also in Division C3] A sealant is bonded to a masonry surface by applying to the surface a coating of a primer consisting essentially of a volatile organic solvent solution of a chlorinated rubber and a poly (C 1 to C 4 -alkyl methacrylate), evaporating the solvent from said primer, applying to the primed surface a sealant composition comprising a liquid polysulphide polymer and curing said sealant composition in situ. Examples are given in which a concrete surface is coated with a primer consisting of chlorinated rubber, poly(n-butyl methacrylate), toluene, ethylene glycol ethyl ether acetate and other hydrocarbon solvent and a bead of sealant composition containing liquid polysulphide polymer, fillers, plasticizers and curing agents is applied to the primed surface and cured.
