The device consists of two parts (11, 12) joined together to form a cylindrical tensioning and supporting element (11, 12) which can be opened. Its inside has in the closed position the form of a double cone with its narrowest part at or near its middle. It has also a slotted element (31, 32) whose outer surface is shaped like a double cone fitting into the inside of the tensioning and supporting element (11, 12). It has a through hole with the same cross-section as that of the cable (50) for which the device is intended. The suspension parts (11, 12) are made of aluminium and the slotted elements (31, 32) of rubber or plastics.
