Double glazed tilting window with metal frame - has sealing strips excluding noise and weather, houses blind or shutter

The double glazed window which pivots about a horizontal axis half way up, has a frame made of hollow metal members and incorporating a set of sealing strips. The design is intended to exclude noise, dampness and vibration. The frame includes a hollow member (30) open on one face, with two ribs extending sideways, with a sealing strip (1) between them. The outer arm also is pressed against another sealing strip (1') parallel to the first, when the window is shut. Between the outer glass pane (5) and the inner (6) is located a roller blind (3) and/or a venetian blind (4). The frame which supports the double glazing includes a portion (18) which can be detached. Between this portion and the portion (31) which completes the frame is another seal (2).
