摘要

Surgical boring tool or drill has a working end which is relief ground. The cutting surface extends from the axis of the drill to one edge of the clamping groove is parallel to the axis of the drill. The drill is pref. made of sintered metal using a hard phase and a binder. The hard phase is pref. a carbide, boride or nitride of a metal is gps. IVA, VA or VIA, of the periodic system, whereas the binder phase consists of min. 5% of cobalt or nickel. Using the drill, esp. for holes for bone screws, tissue is removed across the entire dia. of the hole so that the pressure is not generated which normally causes excessive heat.
