The test pin, for testing pc boards, consists of a spring loaded shank with a conical hollow at its contacting end to engage the pointed head of a test pin fixed to the pc board. The spring-loaded test pin is connected to test equipment. The helical spring (18) is located inside the barrel (14) between the bottom of the moving shank (20) and the stopper (13) in the base of the barrel. The part of the shank just above the spring is thickened radially so that it touches the barrel inner surface and acts as a steadying guide.
