The insulating support plate (1) of the switch contains the stationary contacts and possibly connecting conductors in the form of flat conductor tracks. Over the stationary contacts moves a countercontact on a slide path. Between each two stationary contacts (2, 3) on the same slide path (7) is provided an indentation (8) in the support plate. Preferably the indentation is embossed into the support plate which compacted in the indentation vicinity. The conductive tracks may be embedded into the support plate material. The indentation depth may reach below the plane of the slide paths between the respective stationary contacts.
