Device for programme control of washing or drying machine by electronic switch circuits comprising an auxiliary voltage source for maintaining the state of the switch circuits obtained before cut-out of the mains, during interruption of the mains supply, in order to continue the programme on return of the mains voltage, at the programme stage which was reached prior to interruption. - All the switch circuits are connected to the common auxiliary voltage source which is maintained constantly in a state of charge when mains voltage is present. - Pref. a switch e.g. a diode prevents flow of current from the auxiliary voltage source to the supply voltage source (-13V).
