Work study facility for co-ordinate positioning system - keyboards coupled to digital position transducers moved to required location

A work study facility is provided point-to-point data to the generated for input to a store which may then be used for automatic repetitive cycle operation. Two input keyboards (1) are directly coupled to gray code digital encoders; one linear (7) and one circular (12). Both keyboards are capable of being moved over the surface of a worktable (5) and are coupled to rods that slide (7) and pivot (6) around a support. In operation a keyboard is moved to a required location and the co-ordinate key operated followed by the keys relating to the measured position. The information is then entered directly into a store. A complete sequence of manipulations may be established to provide a comlete programme.
