The pulse generator for the dial switch of a telephone terminal avoids contact chatter and the attendant noise. A locking element (13) is formed on the blocking device (11) of a cam. this locking element forms a locking arrangement with an opposing element (12) on the second spring contact (7). When in the blocked state, the opposing element lies behind the locking element between it and the operating arm (3) of the rotating cam (1). (The second spring has an arm (9) that travels over the surface of the cam as the latter rotates. The first spring contact is mounted parallel to the second on the other side of it from the cam).
