The paper sheet parting mechanism is particularly for folding machines, parting folded sheets cut by two circular knives, and with a sheet guide rib below the knives and running parallel to their faces. - The guide rib (3) is bent parallel to the travel direction of the sheets on both sides, so that it intersects the cutting centre line (4) of the knives (1, 2).
