Radio telephone system to connect fixed to mobile station - uses interregional selective call transmitter to locate mobile station

The radio telephone system connects a fixed station to a mobile station whose location is unknown. An area transmitter covers several local radio regions. A fixed station dials the area transmitter number and that of the sought mobile station. - The mobile station call number is stored in the exchange. The area transmitter calls the mobile station using its call signal plus an extra signal. The extra signal causes the mobile station channel selector to hunt and engage a free channel. When the mobile station handset is raised, the extra signal is released and received by the local receiver in whose region the mobile station finds itself. This receiver is connected via a cable to the exchange and from there to the fixed calling station.
