The three piece bearing is for pedals or roller skate wheels with cones (31) mounted on an axle (11). The inner cone (21) is fitted to the axle and is crimped, riveted or welded in position. An inner ball bearing race (41) is then added, with a bearing box (51) rigidly connected to the wheel (12). The outer ball race is pressed against the other half of the symmetrical race. Finally the outer cone (31) is pushed against the race and is fixed at the point where its own resilience provides both support and balancing tolerance on the axis. The outer ends of the axis and the cone are then welded together (10).
