The combined shower and W.C. cubicle has the shower basin directly adjoining the W.C. pedestal, so that a user of the latter can use the basin as a foot rest space. This makes the cubicle as compact as possible for installation in old houses in the course of renovation, and ensure that it can be brought through existing doorways.
